Deception by Danny Hahlbohm is a thought provoking work of Christian art that reminds us that Satan is hard at work in today's church in an attempt to water down the gospel message.
Artist's Note: I felt compelled to create this piece because of the deception by the enemy which has infiltrated many of our churches in the United States today. I was absolutely shocked to discover how many churches are being misled and falling off because of false and unfounded doctrine.
Some well grounded churches in America today who claim to be Christian based churches refuse to even put up a cross in their church because "it might offend someone", or talk openly about the "blood of Christ" for the same reason. What? isn't that what our Christian belief is all about?
Many so called churches today are more interested in acquiring larger congregations ($) by compromising their belief then standing firm for the doctrine Jesus Christ Himself stood for and commanded us to tell the world about.
Without the blood of Christ to cover us we are vulnerable to the enemy from all points, and without the Cross... well we are all lost, and none of us would be able to enter into the Kingdom of heaven.
Satan, the father of all lies, has now attacked the church from within, not just from without.
2 Corinthians 11:13-14 tells us "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2 Timothy 4:3 says: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts."
Ephesians 4:14
" That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"
The "great Spiritual war" is upon and we must stand fast to those things we know are true. If not we fall into the enemies hands, being deceived by his craftiness. When it comes to death and eternity we need to know the truth, it will be too late afterward to change course.
Time is running short. Stand fast, don't fall prey to the deception being spread. God does not change and neither does His truth. The doctrine we held fast to all these years is the one and only true way to be with him for eternity. Be not deceived.
